On April 27, 2021, the Cabinet made a resolution to approve Thailand's participation in the World Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai in Osaka, Japan, scheduled to take place from April 13 - October 13, 2025. The Ministry of Public Health has been designated as the primary entity responsible for Thailand's involvement in this event.

The World Expo, a global exhibition held every five years under the auspices of the Bureau of International Exposition (BIE), has established the theme "Designing Future Society For Our Lives" for the World Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai with the objective of fostering a happy and healthy life. The concept is further divided into three sub-themes: 1. Saving Lives: Prioritizing the protection of people's lives.; 2. Empowering Lives: Enhancing the quality of life.; 3. Connecting Lives: Facilitating the promotion of understanding among diverse cultures.
