Local food refers to the dishes people consume daily and on special occasions. Preparation involves seasonings and ingredients from diverse sources: natural resources like gathered forest products, hunted livestock, and caught fish; self-produced items from farming and animal husbandry; and traded goods. The distinct regional preparation methods and flavors contribute to the unique character of local cuisine.
Concept of the Performance
The performances celebrate Thailand's regional diversity, emphasizing the distinct features of each area. To add a playful and rhythmic element, pots and pans transform into vibrant musical instruments. During the cooking segment, performers, dressed as chefs from the four regions, invite audience members to participate in preparing dishes, creating an interactive and engaging experience.
